AARP Eye Center
This is the first class of a four-part Mindful Movement series. We will focus on the causes of back pain and treatments.
About the Event
Join us for a foundational class to learn what can lead to back pain and how to determine your best treatment path.
We will discuss anatomy and physiology related to back pain and introduce movement concepts that we will touch on in subsequent classes. Expect to learn some stretches that tend to feel good for different types of back pain. If you have a foam roller available, you may want to have that handy, but this is not required.
The class is facilitated by Julia Fuller, a certified personal trainer and health coach, a fitness nutrition specialist, and a specialist in corrective exercise and biomechanics
Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen. Ultimately, anything discussed in these classes should not cause pain. If you do move in an unexpectedly painful way, stop immediately and rest as needed.
Style of Class: Educational framework for the rest of the series with stretches and movement for pain relief. Note this is not an exercise class.
We recommend you sign up for all the classes in this series. To review the class details and sign up, go to our Mindful Movement event landing page.
