About the Event
Elder abuse refers to intentional or negligent acts by a caregiver or trusted individual that causes harm to an older person. It can take many forms, including financial exploitation; neglect or isolation; and physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and verbal abuse.
Paul Greenwood, a former assistant district attorney in San Diego County who prosecuted more than 750 cases of elder abuse, and Billie McNeely, an elder abuse specialist with Oregon's Aging and People with Disabilities agency, will share how to spot elder abuse and the steps to take to stop it in this interactive webinar.
