About the Event
Join AARP California at the San Diego Asian Film Festival for a screening of Bitterroot and an evening reception. The film, in Hmong with English subtitles, is about a middle-aged man reeling from a failed marriage and now responsible for taking care of his aging mother in Montana… and her root vegetable garden. As he shoulders this duty, his attempts at finding peace are stymied as the stunning landscapes around him are struck by wildfire. From 2014 SDAFF Emerging Filmmaker Award Winner Vera Brunner-Sung.
The first 40 guests who register through AARP will receive a free ticket to the film screening.
