We know your caregiving journey can be challenging in all kinds of ways. That’s why AARP Virginia and Insight Memory Care Center are delighted to invite you to our monthly Care Partner Class!
Frontotemporal dementia or FTD is a progressive disorder of the brain. It can affect behavior, language skills and movement. Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) is one of the subtypes of FTD. PPA is characterized predominantly by the gradual loss of the ability to speak, read, write, and understand what others are saying. Learn more about PPA, including the signs and symptoms, how it differs from other dementias, and the resources available locally and through AFTD.
This class, which is not an AARP event, will be held in person in Fairfax, Virginia, as well as online for virtual viewers. Those attending virtually will be able to ask questions via the chat feature.
