AARP, in collaboration with the Lincoln Park Cultural District, is bringing a Lunch and Learn series to four Newark senior buildings to empower residents with practical fraud prevention tools. As part of AARP New Jersey's fraud prevention initiative, these in-person sessions create a welcoming space for older adults to enjoy a complimentary lunch while learning to recognize, avoid, and prevent scams. Fraud Watch: Online Romance Scams is one featured session, offering insight into how scammers exploit those seeking love and connection online. Attendees will learn to identify the warning signs of romance scams and gain actionable tips to safeguard their personal information and build safer, more genuine connections.
