Find out how Ohio communities are addressing the need for more affordable housing.
About the Event
Across America, small- to mid-sized housing that's affordable for middle-income households can't be found. The nation is mostly missing (and needs) residences that fall between single-family homes and large apartment buildings.
AARP Ohio is hosting an event on "Missing Middle Housing" Solutions, with Opticos Design to help community leaders and residents understand “missing middle housing” (MMH) solutions and benefits. Hear from municipalities with different population sizes, such as Columbus and Xenia, that are addressing the need for affordable middle housing. How receptive are their communities’ to MMHs? How have they handled obstacles? We’ll also share experiences of communities elsewhere in the country.
This webinar is intended for city planners, architects and engineers, as well as the 50-plus community, family caregivers and others interested in learning about middle housing. AARP will provide free resources such as model legislation to help municipalities with the adoption and development of middle housing.
