About the Event
We know your caregiving journey can be challenging in all kinds of ways. That’s why AARP Virginia and Insight Memory Care Center are delighted to invite you to Care Partner Class: Resources and Guidance for Managing Primary Progressive Aphasia.
Frontotemporal dementia or degeneration (FTD) is a progressive disorder of the brain that can affect behavior, language skills and movement. Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) is a subtype of FTD characterized by the gradual loss of the ability to speak, read, write and understand what others are saying. Learn about PPA signs and symptoms, how it differs from other dementias, and the resources available locally and through the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
This class, which is not an AARP event, will be held in person in Fairfax, Virginia, as well as online for virtual viewers. Those attending virtually will be able to ask questions via the chat feature.
