Learn about the benefits of nature while enjoying a guided walk at Oakoasis County Preserve.
About the Event
Join AARP California and Nature Unplugged for an in-person nature outing where we’ll focus on how to build more community and connection in nature and how that can help bolster our wellbeing. This will include outdoor activities and games including a scavenger hunt and conversation cards to help connect us with each other as well as the natural world. This beginner’s level hike will be approximately 2-3 miles long on mostly flat, dirt trails.
Recommended items to bring:
· Weather appropriate clothing/shoes
· Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm with SPF)
· Water (1 liter)
· Snacks (optional)
· Backpack (optional)
Check in begins at 8:30am, outing begins promptly at 9am.
***An online planning session for this event is scheduled for October 9 at noon. This session is recommended for all participants to attend but is not mandatory. You can sign up HERE.
