About the Speaker:
Curt Hasegawa (AARP) is an AARP volunteer speaker and a retired Investigator with the State of Hawaiʻi. His 30-year career included investigations ranging from Consumer Protection, to Child Support Enforcement, to Securities Fraud. His last 22 years with the Securities Commissioner's Office were focused on both State-level civil cases, as well as joint criminal cases with the FBI, IRS, Honolulu Police Department-Financial Crimes Division, and the Department of the Attorney General. His last 10 years also included providing public outreach to local communities and organizations, where he gave talks on Fraud Prevention. He was a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from 2001 to 2025.
