Join AARP Maryland for Walk with a Doc – a free community walking program!
Take a step toward better health and great company with AARP Maryland’s Walk with a Doc! This free, community-friendly walking program brings people together in a relaxed and supportive environment. Each walk begins with a short, easy-to-follow health chat led by a local healthcare professional, followed by a comfortable walk you can enjoy at your own pace.
Everyone is welcome—all ages, abilities, and health backgrounds. Each session lasts about an hour and is designed to help you move, breathe, learn something new, and enjoy meaningful conversation along the way. It’s a wonderful way to stay active, connect with neighbors, and make new friends.
We meet on the second Saturday of every month at 9:00 a.m. Join us at Lake Kittamaquandi by the People Tree for a peaceful outdoor walk. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll meet indoors at the McDonald’s inside the Columbia Mall food court—we’ll send an email ahead of time to keep you informed.
Come just as you are, invite a friend, or make new ones—we’d love to walk with you!
