AARP Eye Center
Discover movement and mindfulness practices for healthy aging and vibrant living, plus the latest research on how to live better, longer.
About the Event
In this workshop, we’ll share body and mind exercises that can be easily integrated into your day. Discover how connecting with your breath becomes a mindfulness practice. A mobility sequence will take all the joints through a healthy range of motion that can delay the onset of chronic conditions and diseases, stave off cognitive decline, reduce the risk of falls, alleviate depression, stress and anxiety, and allow you to live longer with vitality.
We’ll also cover some latest research about how to live longer by changing how you think about aging. Participants will receive printable handouts of information and exercises.
Please have the following props on hand: yoga block and strap, Franklin balls and Pinky balls. Find out more about healthy aging by reading Breaking the Age Code by Becca Levy. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
