This online dance fitness class, which will feature a wide range of inspiring music, can be enjoyed in sitting or standing positions.
Learn dance routines designed to help increase coordination and flexibility, lessen body tension, improve balance and gait and strengthen the core. The goal is to help you feel supported as you explore rhythm and movement within a joyful and friendly community.
Other benefits may include added power and grace in your movements, an enhanced awareness of your body and vitality, and an ability to breathe more deeply and vocalize more fully. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
Instructor Rachel Balaban is founder of DAPpers (Dance for All People) for people with Parkinson’s disease and other movement challenges as well as undergraduate students, in recognition of the power of dance and intergenerational programming.
