About the Event
Join AARP Vermont and the nonprofit organization Vermont Garden Network to learn tips and best practices to grow a productive and beautiful vegetable garden this season.
It all starts with thoughtful planning that considers what your goals are and what a plant needs to thrive. Topics will include planting calendars, direct seeding vs transplants, garden layout designs, and soil health. Tips and techniques for increasing your harvest, reducing pest pressure, and minimizing weeds will also be mentioned.
While this class was developed with New England's growing climate in mind, lots of great information for all climates will be shared.
