The News on 6 and AARP Oklahoma are hosting a free shred event on May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. The shredding will occur at News on 6, 303 N. Boston Avenue in Tulsa. The event is open to the public and provides a convenient and accessible way to dispose of sensitive documents. AARP membership is not required to participate. Shred event organizers request attendees adhere to the following guidelines.

- Please do not bring documents that contain metal larger than a staple.

- Please do not bring magazines or cardboard to shred.

- There is a maximum of two boxes per person.
