Protect yourself from fraud. This month, the Fraudlette hosts an engaging discussion on what you need to know about phone scams.
About the Event
For our September topic in this free monthly virtual series, AARP Illinois staffer Courtney Hedderman - aka the Fraud-Fighting Fraudlette – hosts an engaging discussion on what you need to know to help protect yourself and your family from phone scams.
Scams include callers impersonating a government official, asking for payment you don’t owe for utilities or other services, and offering bad deals like extended warranties.
We’ll offer tips and advice on how to handle what you believe is a scam phone call.
