This week our culinary travel series explores African American culture and soul food.
About the Event
Come along with AARP Pennsylvania and HUBUB, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting people through language and food, on a series of culinary excursions exploring flavor-building, food preparation techniques and the uses of spices and plants across cultures.
In this Food Without Borders class, we’ll celebrate African American culture through an appreciation of its cuisine. Find out how to prepare soul-nourishing dishes like collard greens, shrimp and grits, hoppin’ john and cornbread - dishes that have satisfied for centuries and continue to be a staple in American homes.
