Come hike with AARP's Trail Trekkers℠ -Jan 17th

We’re starting the new year with a Trail Trekkers℠ at Salt Lick Point Land and Water Reserve Trail on January 17th.

Bundle up and let’s hit the trail...Our hiking team will take care of everything – you just need your hiking shoes/boots, water, and sense of adventure!

Check in starts at 9:30 am. The hike will start at 10:00a.m. and end around 12:30pm.

This hike will be 2 miles and is "strenuous" to start. The onset of the  trail is rugged, and uphill and may be better suited for hikers who have experience with steep grades. It will level off at just under halfway and then the rest of is a nice hike. It will be a good trek.

Dress for weather, bring  a hiking pole or two will also prove beneficial for the hike. In addition, everyone must bring their own supply of water - we will all need it!

Monster boulders, steep bluffs, forested hillside, small marshlands, hillside prairies and glades of scattered with wildflowers, panoramic vistas of the Mississippi River valley, and abandoned mine shafts await you at Salt Lick Point on route to one of the St. Louis area's most spectacular overlooks.
