Alfred Hitchcock made more than 50 films on both sides of the Atlantic. He brought style, humor and most of all suspense to audiences in a series of classic films. This class will talk about the master director’s life, his approach to making films, and show clips from films such as “Rebecca”, “The Man Who Knew Too Much”, “Vertigo”, “North by Northwest”, “Psycho” and “The Birds”. Dan Sherman, a retired Ph.D. economist, has presented talks on theatre and film to many lifelong learning groups around the Washington D.C. area.
This online program is offered by the Lifetime Learning Institute of Northern Virginia, which is affiliated with Northern Virginia Community College.
